In and around LANA

But especially your holiday village Lana will enchant you!

The nearby spa town of Meran with bustling coming and going in the arcade alleys, the impressive Botanical Gardens of Trauttmansdorff Castle and the Meran Therme designed by star architect Matteo Thun are definitely worth a visit.

But especially your holiday village Lana will enchant you!

The now urban community, once a rural village with an urban flair, has lost none of its original charm, on the contrary. Within walking distance of the Hotel Petra are the Gries and the Hofmann areas with their attractive shopping galleries and cozy cafés. Here many cultural highlights take place, especially in the summer months. On the long Thursdays, the shops in Lana remain open until 9.30pm, live bands play and you can enjoy a variety of culinary delicacies at the numerous stands.

Other events include the blossom festival, the hiking camp in the alpine mountains or the "Keschtnriggl", the so-called chestnut days in Lana and the surrounding area.

Furthermore, the "Gateway to the South", as Lana is also known, enchants with its numerous historic buildings and sights, such as the famous Schnatterpeck altar in the parish church of Niederlana, the Fruit Growing Museum or the Braunsberg castle and the Brandis ruin.

When visiting the countless castles, residences and chapels especially culture lovers and those interested in art history will get their money's worth.
